Productivity comes standard with the DR-5010C. This compact scanner is packed with power, yet built for effortless scanning of paper sizes up to 11" x 17". In addition to offering high-quality, production-level scanning at 50 ppm in color and black and white, the DR-5010C is versatile enough to meet a wide range of business needs.
Diverse automatic and customizable functions allow you to scan documents faster and more efficiently than ever before. The DR-5010C can reliably handle batches of mixed document sizes with the ability to automatically straighten skewed documents and rotate upside down images. In the event of a misfeed, the Rapid Recovery System allows you to seamlessly continue scanning right where you left off and only sends completed image data to your PC.
Speed alone isn't enough to satisfy the demands of paper-intensive business environments, the DR-5010C was designed to be as accurate as it is fast. For improved OCR results, the Custom Color Dropout feature allows you to remove color elements within the document. The Text Enhancement modes automatically optimize readability of documents containing hard-to-scan elements such as faint text or pencil writing.

- Using 3-Line Sensor Technology, the DR-5010C is capable of scanning colour as rapidly as it does black and white – up to 50 pages or 100 images per minute.*
- Canon's 3-Dimentional Colour Correction function reproduces a document's colour information using a built-in conversion circuit to pinpoint the exact RBG colour coordinates.
- Straight Paper Path design is perfect for scanning thick documents or plastic cards, such as insurance cards or drivers' licenses.
- To accommodate high-volume scan jobs, the U-turn Path feeding option incorporates an exclusive motor mechanism that neatly ejects scanned papers to the output tray.
- The Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection feature prevents multiple documents from being fed through at the same time, by detecting the gap of air between overlapping pages.
- If a large document enters the scanner at an angle, Skew Detection temporarily stops feeding to prevent the document from tearing or jamming.
- With the Punch Hole Removal function, the scanner detects and removes any binder holes within a document.
- The DR-2580C comes bundled with Canon's CapturePerfect 3.0 and Adobe® Acrobat® 7.0 Standard software.
