The IT Technician is responsible for the following:

  • Providing network level support to our clients working closely with our existing service team
  • Review and assess clients network infrastructure and environment including network mapping, switch, router, and firewall troubleshooting relevant to the connectivity of the devices and software we support
  • WIFI configuration, troubleshooting and support
  • Remotely troubleshoot and diagnose our customer’s network connectivity, PC, Mac, and server issues

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, network security and WiFi networks
  • Good understanding of Windows servers environment and common operating systems
  • Good understanding of the Mac computers and operating systems.
  • Ability to work with a variety of customers and vendors (some technical some non-technical)
  • Detail oriented and a methodical problem solver
  • Ability to travel locally to different clients for on-site support and installations
  • Excellent listening and communication skills to have the ability to work cohesively with clients
  • Positive and professional attitude, good work ethic

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Bachelor’s degree or CISA Diploma with experience in an IT Helpdesk
  • Professional networking certifications such as – CCNA, CWNA, N+
  • Good understanding of Windows Server environments (SBS,2003, 2008 R2 & 2012)
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (VPN, Routing, Ports, TCP/IP, Network analysis tools)
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience providing support to users using Windows 7, Windows 8 and other mainstream Microsoft applications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well individually and within a team
  • Excellent understanding of macOS and iOS environments
  • Comprehensive consultation to clients and their IT management and staff
  • Meeting current client needs and maintaining a good working relationship

Other Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience working in managed IT services
  • Knowledge of mobile platforms such as iOS and Android
  • Basic understanding of VOIP technology
  • A+, MCSE, MCITP and other relevant certifications
